WITN-TV is owned and operated by North Carolina Television, Incorporated. Our studios and offices are located on Highway 17 South in Washington, North Carolina, with transmitter and our 1,549 foot antenna tower located at Grifton, North Carolina.

WITN-TV operates on channel 7 with an assigned frequency of 174 to 180 megacycles, and an effective radiated power of 316,000 watts visual, and 31,600 watts aurally, as authorized by the Federal Communications Commission, Washington, DC.

Program material is transmitted between our main studios and transmitter via microwave KJH-48 main, and KIQ-54 alternate.

WITN-TV is a full-color station, eastern North Carolina's first full-color television facility, and is an affiliate of the
